Obituary for Patricia Brighenti

Patricia Fahey Brighenti, 83, of Torrington, beloved wife of Marcello Brighenti, died Friday, April 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born April 17, 1935 in Simsbury, daughter of the late Martin and Helen (Sammon) Fahey and had lived in Canton and Simsbury prior to moving to Torrington 15 years ago. Pat had attended Simsbury High School and was a Legal Administrator at Shawmut Bank for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Prince Thomas of Savoy Society Women’s Auxiliary and the VFW Post 3272 Women’s Auxiliary. Pat enjoyed gardening and playing tennis and bocce. She loved to travel with family and close friends Frank and Eleanor Zacchera having visited Greece, Ireland, Scotland and Italy on multiple occasions. But most of all she loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband of 62 years, she is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Greeley and her husband Rich of Torrington; her sisters, Cathleen Metcalf of Unionville and Marie Dube of Torrington; her two grandchildren, Brooke Marie Gero and her husband Bryan and Richard Marcello Greeley and his wife Colleen; three great grandchildren, Oliver and Lexi Gero and Owen Greeley and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ann Peterson and Helen Salvatore and her brother, John Fahey.

A memorial service will be celebrated at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 12th. Her family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Foothills VNA, 32 Union Street, Winsted, CT 06098.
