Obituary for Eleanor Hoerrner (Powell)

Eleanor Powell Hoerrner, wife of the late Ralph Hoerrner passed away peacefully on April 29, 2019 at Amberwoods of Farmington after a long battle with dementia. Born September 5, 1928 to the late Adele (Strogis) and Joseph Powell in Brooklyn, NY where she lived and worked at Macy’s and Con Edison before marrying Ralph in 1950 and moving to Connecticut. Over the years she resided in Collinsville, Plainville, Farmington, Ocala, FL and Bristol.

She leaves her children, Diane Hoerrner of Bristol, Debbie Marcuson and her husband Paul, Denise Antigiovanni and her husband Don and Daniel Hoerrner and his wife Joanne, all of Farmington, and a son in law Michael Spotts of Clinton. Her grandchildren Melissa Primavera, Kevin Marston, Terri Keevers, Chris Halm, Jennifer Marcuson Gingras, Greg Marcuson, Gary Antigiovanni, Brian Antigiovanni, Michele Antigiovanni, Rachel Spotts, Sarah Spotts, and Kevin Spotts, eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving daughter Doreen Spotts. The family would like to thank the staff of Amberwoods and Masonicare Hospice for their excellent care and compassion in our mom’s final years.

There will be a graveside service September 7th at Calvary Cemetery, Collinsville, CT.
