I remember trips to Anastasia’s store for yogurt and mini blueberry pies; running from headlights; the man down the street opening his trunk and handing out corn cob pipes and cinnamon toothpicks; endless walks around the neighborhood; waiting for the bus inside of a strangers garage; camping in your backyard in the woods, in the rain and getting very wet, and then walking around the neighborhood in the very early morning, trying not to be caught by my father when he was leaving to play golf. Sleeping out in the Schmidt’s trailer. You taking care of your younger siblings. We had the same first and middle names. Were born 2 weeks apart. I did not know you for long but we sure had fun. I regret that we did not keep in touch. RIP my friend.
