Known to some as Long Tall Dave, we spent many an hour mountain biking, usually at The Rez. Although I lost touch with him in recent years, we were pretty good friends for some time. Dave was a super steady guy and very kind; always the teacher, he helped me improve my bike skills and encouraged me to lead on rides. With many fond memories, my heart will always hold a place for Dave. My deepest sympathy to his family, close friends, and colleagues.

Dear Dave,

I always referred to Dave as Mountain Bike Dave. I first met Dave while mountain biking in the late 1980's, we rode together whenever and wherever we could for over 30 years. Dave was one of my oldest friends; he was always there for me through thick and thin. Dave was a great guy with a heart of gold, I will miss him and think of him often. My sincere condolences to his family, Dave left us all much to soon.

I’ll never forget the cheerful and mischievous David who loved ping pong, inventions and anything clever. He was a true friend and wonderful cousin to me and I will miss him so much. Rest well David. Fly free wonderful spirit❤️ Love, fondness and practical jokes, Cousin Hope

He was always such a nice substitute and person. He was my Sub in Berlin for almost as long as I could remember. He made everyone laugh, and everyone loved him.
