He was always such a nice substitute and person. He was my Sub in Berlin for almost as long as I could remember. He made everyone laugh, and everyone loved him.

I spent. many fun times at Keene state college with Dave and Scott. They also joined me on a once in a lifetime cross country road trip in a 63 Ford Galaxie Convertible after I started teaching school. I had not seen Dave in a long time but. was very sad to hear of someone so young passing. Rest easy my old friend....until we meet again!

It was September 1974, I was a freshman at Keene State College, away from home, didn't know anyone, sitting in my room alone. There was a knock at the door. It was Dave, holding a couple of ping pong paddles and a ping pong ball. "You want to play ping pong?" A 46-plus year friendship was born. We would be roommates the next year and share many crazy adventures in the years to come. I'm deeply saddened and will miss you my friend. Rest in peace. Scott Gawlicki

Dave was so professional, I can still remember him coming to see me a day before he was scheduled to sub for me and going over what the students would be doing as well as taking copies of the assignments. I also remember how he was always dressed in a sport coat and tie and had his pull along case. He will be missed at McGee Middle School!! Rest in peace.

My deepest condolences go to the family of Mr. H (or as we knew him: H-Bomb). He truly was one of the best spirits to ever be employed by Berlin Public Schools. As a former student, walking in and seeing Mr. H in your class just brought happiness to everyone who experienced it. It was truly an honor to have known him. Please rest easy H-Bomb. We will miss you dearly.
