Obituary for Juana Rodriguez

Juana M. Teresa Rodriguez, 77, of Simsbury, died peacefully in her sleep, Thursday October 29th at John Dempsy Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Havana Cuba. Daughter of late Angel and Constantina (Vazquez) Rodriguez, and brother of late Angel F. (Sr), had moved to the US, as the first Cuban family to settle in Simsbury back in the 60's, when she was 19 years old. She attended a technical school and afterwards had been employed by Cigna in Bloomfield for 30 years prior to her retirement. Durring her 30 years at Cigna, she was known from above and below as a dedicated, hard, and loyal worker. She lived a simple life. Enjoying most of all, time spent with her great niece, Maddisyn of Bolton. You could feel the special bond among them both.

She is survived by her three nephews, Angel Felipe Rodriguez Jr of Simsbury, Angel Luis Rodriguez and his wife Kimberly of Merrimack NH, and Edward Rodriguez of Manchester, Sister in Law Marlene Rodriguez of Manchester, friends of hers, Julia Sullivan and family of Bolton / Vernon whom were always there for her, seven great nieces and nephews, Maddisyn, Chrystal, Eddie, Nicholas, Danni, Ari, and Casi.

She will be layed to rest along side her late brother, and late parents. Private burial with services Simsbury Cemetery, November 6th at 1130 am.
