He loved many other outdoor activities including biking, kayaking and spending time at the beach, which carried through to creative endeavors such as landscape photography and outdoor inspired fine art.

When not spending weekends at their New Hampshire lake cottage, Mark enjoyed vacations with his wife; exploring bike trails in New England and Canada, beaches, waterways and mountain regions. He most enjoyed his time with his four grandchildren sledding, hiking, playing army men, reading stories and just being together.
