Obituary for Sanga Thammavongsa
Sanga Thammvongsa, 84, passed away at Waterbury Hospital on January 7th 2021 Waterbury, Connecticut. He was born on June 24, 1936 to Kane and Girdme Syphanya in Nong Khai, Thailand. He married Vilay Tanthikul in Bangkok, Thailand. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing soccer, and reading the Thai newspaper.
He graduated from the Police Academy in Thailand. In 1979 he immigrated with his family to the United States with the support of the United Methodist Church in Naugatuck, Connecticut. He was employed at Bristol Babcock for 21 years and retired from there.
Survivors include his wife, Vilay; 5 sons; 5 daughters; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all.
