Kathleen Mary LeBlanc, 65, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Saturday, December 26, 2020. She was born May 10, 1955 in Bainbridge, MD, daughter of Maureen (Dulin) LeBlanc of Terryville, CT and the late Robert LeBlanc, and had lived in Connecticut for many years. She was a graduate of the University of St. Joseph Class of 1977 and had received Masters degrees from Southern Connecticut State University and Lesley University. Ms. LeBlanc was a Teacher for the West Hartford Board of Education for 34 years prior to her retirement. Kathleen loved to travel and crafts, especially crochet and card making.

In addition to her loving mother, Kathleen is survived by her son with who she made her home in later years, Justin Celani and his wife Tara of East Longmeadow, MA; her daughter, Vanessa (Celani) Dempsey and her husband Ryan of San Francisco, CA; her siblings, Robert LeBlanc, Cheryl LeBlanc, Dane LeBlanc, Linda Raftery and Brenda LeBlanc; her grandchildren, Jacob and Caitlyn Celani and Lucas and Joshua Dempsey and a large extended family. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Murtha, Jr.

Private burial was held in the Simsbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to No Kid Hungry, Share Our Strength, P.O. Box 75475, Baltimore MD 21275-5475.
