Obituary for Geoffrey Scott Byron

Geoffrey Scott Byron, 49, of Unionville, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Bristol Hospital. He was born June 23, 1971 in Bristol, son of Peter Justin Byron originally from Warren, CT, and Kathryn (Tong) Fisher of East Granby and other than a short time in Virginia, lived in Connecticut most of his life. He was a graduate of Regional 7 High School and had been a Construction Worker for Pipe Works Plumbing and Heating. Geoff loved spending time outdoors especially fishing and four wheeling. He enjoyed motorcycles, working on trucks, family gatherings, and most of all spending time with friends, especially with his longtime friend Anthony.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Ed, James, Marie and Charles; his brother, Rob Hyatt and wife Megan of Connecticut; his sister, Katy LaCroix and husband Frank Berrian of Simsbury; his aunts, Sally Sevetz, Ruthie Toohey and Carol Bukowski; his nieces, Mackenzie and Tori LaCroix and nephews, Austin, Parker and Carson Hyatt; and his “Uncle”, Rob Atkinson. He was predeceased by his “Poppy”, maternal grandfather David Tong; his uncle, Russ Tong; his cousin Erica Sevetz and cousins, Lisa and Paula Bukowski.

His family will receive friends during a walk-through visitation on Friday, February 5th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton.
