On Friday, February Fifth, 2021, Marta Marie Sylvester, loving wife and mother of four children passed away at the age of 89 in her home. Marta was born on August Third, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to Dominic and Phyllis Manfredi. She received her Nursing degree in 1954 from Prospect Heights School of Nursing and she became the Regional Nursing Director of Group Homes for the State of Connecticut. On July Second, 1955 she married William Robert Sylvester. They raised two sons, Paul and Chris, and two daughters, Carol and Joan. Marta was known for her deep faith in God, her quick wit, sense of humor, devotion to others, and her kind, generous, and compassionate spirit.

Marta was preceded in death by her father, Dominic, and her mother Phyllis. She is survived by her husband William, her four children, Paul, Carol, Chris, and Joan, and her sister Vilma.
