Obituary for Tillie Krinitsky Dziobek

Tillie Krinitsky Dziobek, 92, of Avon, wife of the late Edmund John Dziobek, died Friday, April 2, 2021 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. She was born June 11, 1928 in Terryville, daughter of the late Harry and Rose (Duke) Krinitsky and had lived in Terryville for 74 years prior to the death of her husband, at which time she moved to Hunt Glen in Granby for 15 years and had spent the last 3 years at River Ridge of Avon. She was a member of St. Casmir's Parish in Terryville having served in the Women’s Guild. Tillie was also president of the River Ridge Resident Committee.
Tillie’s charm and outgoing nature allowed her to make friends wherever she went; whether it was Terryville, Hunt Glen, River Ridge or traveling with Ed to his annual Army reunions. Everyone knew and loved Tillie. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, sunbathing on the beach to get a good sunburn and anything that involved spending time with family and friends. She was a great cook and was known for her world famous (or at least family famous) Thanksgiving stuffing and Christmas cookies.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Parker and husband Andy of Simsbury and Susan Glucksman and husband Michael of Granby; her grandchildren, Emily Heck and husband Joseph of Boston, MA, Katherine Parker of New York City, Rebecca Glucksman of Dallas, TX and Daniel Glucksman of New York City. She was predeceased by her eight siblings.

We want to thank all of her caregivers at Hunt Glen and River Ridge for their kindness and assistance over these last few years.

Her family will receive friends during a walkthrough visitation from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Wednesday, April 7th, at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Simsbury. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Terryville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Lyceum, 181 Main Street, Terryville, CT 06786.
