James E. Vaitulevich, 73, of Simsbury, died Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Bloomfield Health Care Center. He was born December 9, 1947 in Hartford, son of the late John James and Eleanor (Ross) Vaitulevich and had lived the Owen Murphy community in Simsbury for many years.  Jim was a member of Saint Mary’s Church in Simsbury. He was privileged to serve over 20 years with the Tariffville and Simsbury Volunteer Fire Companies.  He enjoyed his time as a bagger at Andy's and then Fitzgerald’s, riding his bicycle and was fascinated by cars and collecting model cars.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Vaitulevich and family of West Simsbury , Carol Ann Ritchey of Arizona and Friends Igor and Patty Lepak and family of Simsbury.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday April 15th at St. Mary’s Church in Simsbury with burial to follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Jim’s service may be made to Igor Lepak, 58 Seminary Rd. Simsbury CT 06070.
