Obituary for Eleanor Hyde Davis

Eleanor Hyde Davis, 90, of Orlando, FL, died Thursday, May 13, 2021. She was born December 6, 1930 in New Britain, daughter of the late William Randolf and Ruth Eleanor (Usher) Hyde and had lived in Farmington for most of her life prior to moving to Florida 7 years ago. Mrs. Davis was a Bookkeeper for the Robert E Morris Company for many years prior to her retirement. Eleanor was a longtime member of Grace Congregational Church in Farmington, where she was active in the Women’s Fellowship. She played and taught accordion, as well as playing the organ and hammer dulcimer. Eleanor loved gardening, cooking and family holidays.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Jones and her husband Alexander of Washington; her son, Curt Wendt and his wife Perrine of Florida; her sister, Shirley MacInnis and her husband Scott of Maine; her brother, Robert Hyde and his wife Gail of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Aaron Murray and his wife Laura of Washington, Correne Dean and her husband David of Washington, Natalie Smith and her husband Wesley of Florida and Deborah Wendt of Florida; her great grandchildren Kieran and Connor Murray and Justin and Brandon Dean and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harry Wendt and her second husband, Vernon Davis.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 2nd at Grace Congregational Church, 110 South Road in Farmington. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Farmington.
