Gail Rita (Abbe) Montano, 82, of Canton, died Saturday, September 4, 2021 at McLean in Simsbury. She was born August 15, 1939 in Ludlow, MA, daughter of the late Herbert and Rita Abbe and had lived in Jupiter, FL prior to moving to Canton 20 years ago. Mrs. Montano Owned and Operated Acceleron, Inc., with her former husband Donald Montano, in East Granby for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Jupiter Tennis Club and was a generous donor to many organizations and charities such as Canton Police and Fire Department, Canton Fuel Bank, miscellaneous food banks and many more over the years. Gail enjoyed rafting and camping, adored her beloved dogs, Tia, Jack and Daisy and on a daily basis fed, watched and admired a wide variety of wildlife in her back yard.

Gail is survived by her sons, Lance Montano and Rory Montano and wife Deb, all of Canton; her daughter, Dawn Dawick of North Carolina her brother, Gary Abbe and wife Pat of Canton; her sister, Lynn Reardon and husband John of Spring Hill, FL; her grandchildren, Nicole Knudsen, Jamie Gilbert, Ryan Montano, Austin Montano and Conrad Montano; her great grandchildren, Brayden Thompson, Kye Knudsen and Sage Gilbert and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Abbe and her loving partner Kevin O’Brien.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 9th from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton closing with a celebration of her life at 5:00 PM.
