Obituary for Robert Stanley Wesneski

Robert Stanley Wesneski, 41, much loved son of Robert and Camille (Mercuri) Wesneski, passed away on September 7, 2021.

Known as Rob by his friends and Bobby by his family, he had a unique personality, keen sense of humor, and made every event more fun just by being there. He was an Eagle Scout from Troop 55 in Harwinton, which made his parents very proud. His experience in scouting helped to create the amazing man he had become. He loved being out on the water, fishing, boating, water skiing and enjoyed taking his friends and family out with him. His love of fishing came from scouting, but really, how many fishing poles can one person use at a time? He enjoyed collecting RC cars, and WWE memorabilia and was thrilled to have traveled to several WWE events around the country.

Rob was employed by the Connecticut Water Company (formerly Avon Water Company) and worked there most of his adult life. He was a man with an exemplary work ethic and worked hard at everything he did. Rob loved life and lived it to the fullest, but his greatest love was for his family and friends. Loyalty is more than just a word; it's a way of life. Rob proved it every day.

He is survived by his parents, sister Heidi Hilton and her husband Michael, sister Caroline Abate and her husband Nate, his brother Joe and his girlfriend Jenn Munsey, nieces and nephews Jacob, Brianna, Kaleigh, Sadie, JJ and Serenity. Rob had the unconditional support of his friends, his aunts, uncles and many cousins, who all loved him so much.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 18 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 21 Fern Drive, Torrington, CT 06790 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Book of Remembrance, First United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
