Obituary for Jaber Aslanzadeh

Jaber Aslanzadeh, 67, of Brewster, MA, died peacefully Sunday, (October 10, 2021) at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 24, 1953, in Ardebil, Iran, son of Ebrahim and Zahra Aslanzadeh (Namaki) and had lived in Simsbury, CT for 28 years prior to moving to Brewster, MA two years ago. Dr. Aslanzadeh was the director of microbiology at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT for 17 years before retiring in 2018. He enjoyed a good glass of wine, traveling the world, and spending his time on Cape Cod with friends and family. He is survived by his two daughters, Farah and Aryana Aslanzadeh and their partners Braden Stocks and Mark Landolina, all of Baltimore, MD.

Besides his daughters, he is survived by multiple siblings including, Mohammad Ali Aslanzadeh of Tehran, Iran; Naser Ghanea Aslanzadeh of Ardebil, Iran; Ahmad Aslanzadeh of Tehran, Iran; Aziz Aslanzadeh of Ardebil, Iran; Robab Aslanzadeh of Tehran, Iran; and Mokaram Aslanzadeh of Ardebil, Iran. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Kristin Burgesen of Madison, WI; brother-in-law Craig and his wife Mary Burgesen of St. Louis, MO and their children Amanda and Anthony Burgesen. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Kari Aslanzadeh (Burgesen); and siblings Azim Aslanzadeh, Marhamat Aslanzadeh, and Poorandokht Aslanzadeh.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT, Friday, October 22, 4-6 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 23, 1 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, 685 Canton Street, Suite 103, Norwood, MA 02062.
