Theresa Mae “Terry” (Silver) Peebles, 91, of Avon, died Thursday, September 29, 2022. She was born June 20, 1931 in Avon, daughter of the late Frank and Nora (Connors) Silver and had lived in Canton for many years. Terry was a Factory Worker at Ensign Bickford and Company for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of The Church of Saint Ann in Avon and the Canton Senior Center. Mom loved nature and being outdoors. She loved to garden and was always ready for a good hike in the woods. Mom loved to travel. She especially loved her trips to Ireland as well as weekend getaways to Moosehead Lake in Maine with Ronnie and the “Golden Girls” and many trips to Stowe, Vermont with daughter Debbie and grandson, Ian.

She is survived by her children, Denise Peebles of New Hartford, Jeffrey Peebles of Torrington and his wife, Suzanne , Deborah Woodworth of Barkhamsted, and her brother, Robert Silva and wife Tonya of Simsbury; her grandchildren, Ian Woodworth of East Windsor, Pamela Peebles of Torrington and Shaun Peebles of Torrington and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, John Silver, Mary Silver, Noreen Ade, Francis Silver, Harry Silver, Anne Seger, Alfred Silver, Josephine Keenan and Joseph Silver.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Avon Health Center for all their compassionate care and support given to mom during her residence there.
