Dorothee T. Gilbert (Dotti), 96, of Clinton, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family at St. Raphael Hospital. She was born March 18, 1926 in Meriden, daughter of the late Madelyn and William Tierney. She lived in Meriden, Simsbury and recently Clinton. Dotti worked for the Internal Revenue Service where she met her future husband, Bobby Gilbert. She adored being a mom. She was a member of the Rosary Guild in Simsbury and was a long time poll worker having volunteered during many elections. Dotti enjoyed painting with watercolors, doing crossword puzzles and dancing. She was always an enthusiastic audience member. The passion in her life was her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Apgar of Clinton; her son, Jay Gilbert and wife Linda of Tariffville, seven loving grandchildren and nine and a half great grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
