Obituary for Theresa Marie Saimond

On the morning of Wednesday, December 7, 2022, Theresa Saimond, belovingly known as Teri, lost her life in a tragic fall on her patio while feeding her wild animal friends. Teri was a very loving wife, mother, and friend, who despite numerous painful setbacks as she aged, always was able to create laughter among her family and friends. Ask anyone close to Teri, and they will have a funny story to tell.

An avid, self-taught ceramicist while living in Florida, she both ran a studio and taught ceramics. She retained this artistic leaning upon moving back to Connecticut by switching from ceramics to creating beautiful jewelry. Teri's full-time job before retiring was as an Editor and Writer for UTC Fuel Cells in their Publication Department.

Behind she leaves her adoring husband of almost 63 years, Bill; a son Tony Saimond and his wife Sande; two daughters, Danielle Johnson and her husband Scott and Donna Salad and her husband Todd; a sister Marcia Montgomery and her husband Jeff; a sister-in-law Barbara Saimond: her granddaughter Devon Cheetham and her husband Stephen and grandson Drew Salad.

She is a memory that will never die, and as such, will be sorely missed by all she loved and all who loved her back.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, December 21st at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wildlife in Crisis, Inc., P.O. Box 1246, Weston, CT 06883.
