Obituary for Lois Sheridan

Lois Jean (Haney) Sheridan, 92, of Avon and West Hartford, wife of the late Joseph R. Sheridan, died Friday, January 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 28, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late James P. and Loretta (McGuire) Haney. Lois was a parishioner of the Church of Saint Ann in Avon and St. Timothy Parish in West Hartford. She enjoyed spending time with a good Bourbon Manhattan and a bag of Reese’s cups but most of all loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Joseph F. Sheridan and wife Barbara of Rocky Hill, James P. Sheridan and wife Kim of Apex, NC, David Sheridan and wife Debbie of West Hartford, Mary Wickersham and husband Larry of Wilmington, DE, Timothy Sheridan and wife Lisa of Avon and Ann Miceli and husband Carl of Burlington; her grandchildren, Joseph and Jenna Sheridan, Vincent Fiamma, Eva Sheridan, Anjelica Fiamma, Patrick and Tylyn Sheridan, Christina Sheridan, Kaitlin and John Paukovits, Rhiannon Fiamma, Samantha Sheridan, Dominic Miceli, Benjamin Sheridan, Danny Sheridan, Jake Miceli, Austin Sheridan, Carly Miceli and Bailey Miceli; her great grandchildren, Kinley, Harper and Madison Sheridan, Wells Paukovits and Ruthie Sheridan and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Catherine Gallagher, Dorothy Eileen Vantassel and James Patrick Haney.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 25th at the Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road in Avon. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Avon. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Vincent Funeral Home of Canton is caring for the arrangements.
