Brian Vincent Breen, 67, of New Hartford, beloved husband of Marie Elena (Guzzetti) Breen, died Saturday, February 25, 2023 after a short but courageous battle against cancer, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born August 27, 1955 in the Bronx, NY, son of the late Matthew J. and Rita (Williams) Breen and had lived in New Hartford for over 40 years. He was a Senior Electrical Engineer with VanZelm, Heywood and Shadford for over 30 years. Brian was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with many. He especially enjoyed competing with his close friends in their infamous “Turkey Open.” He enjoyed spending time in North Carolina with his family and in Sarasota, FL with his friends. He was a gifted handyman around the house and had a love for classic rock and roll.

In addition to his loving wife of 44 years, he leaves his daughters, Jaclyn Breen of North Carolina and Lauren Hattar and husband Anthony of North Carolina; his sister, Marguerita Breen-Young and husband Jerry of New Mexico; his granddaughters, Christine and Natalie Klaneski and his niece Rachael Young. He was predeceased by his grandson, Colton Hattar.

Brian was loved and respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Saturday, March 4th from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM closing with a prayer service at 2:30 PM.
