Christine Marie Gerner, 58, of Barkhamsted, died Thursday, February 23, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer . Her brother Jamie and her good friend Julie Ann were by her side when she passed. She was born December 27, 1964 in Chicopee, MA, daughter of the late Louis and Constance (Monks) Gerner and had lived in Barkhamsted for many years. She worked for Amazon in the delivery warehouse, where she had many friends, and had also previously worked for Kane’s Market in Simsbury. Christine enjoyed spending time outdoors, hiking with her dogs.

She is survived by her brothers, Michael Gerner and wife Holly of Canton, Peter Gerner of Bristol and James Gerner of Granby; a sister, Barbara deGarcia of Silver Springs, MD and her nephew Camilo Garcia. She was predeceased by a sister, Susan Gerner.
