Helen B. (Nowicki) Becker, 101, of Simsbury, wife of the late Rene Claude “Bud” Becker, died Sunday, April 2, 2023 at McLean in Simsbury. She was born April 16, 1921 in Detroit, Michigan and had lived in the Detroit area for many years prior to moving to Simsbury 18 years ago. Helen was a bookkeeper for Michigan National Bank for several years as well as being an avid volunteer. Helen served as a volunteer at Providence Hospital in Michigan for 45 years, boarded foreign exchange graduate students from Europe and South America and worked for the International Institute in Detroit as well.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela A. Wilde and husband William of Avon; her son Rene L Becker and wife Cynthia of Cambridge, Ma; her grandchildren Michael Alex Wilde, Mark Peter Wilde and Lucie Becker as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Jennifer Helene Wilde, and her two sisters Wanda Krist and Irene Gray.
