Obituary for Lillian Middleton Clark

Lillian Middleton Clark, 100, of Avon, passed away on August 8, 2023 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Irvington, NJ on February 19, 1923.

Lillian was a kind, loving, and generous woman. Family was always first and she was a friend to all. She was an avid bridge player. She volunteered at the UConn Health Center Gift Shop for 40 years and at FAVARH for 35 years after moving to Avon in 1976.

Lillian was predeceased by her 1st husband, Robert Smith, and 2nd husband, Robison Clark, her brother, James Middletown and sister-in-law, Gladys.

She leaves behind her loving children, John Smith of Surprise, AZ and Ellen Cartun (Richard) of Avon, CT, step-children Sally Masek (Frederick) of Castle Rock, CO, Jane Cockrel of Denver, CO, Douglas Clark (Helle) of Denmark, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored, and 2 special nephews and many friends.

Her family would like to thank her caretaker, and friend, Marian, who became part of our family. We also would like to thank the staff in the Hospice Unit at UConn Health for their outstanding, compassionate care. There will be no services.
