Our beloved husband and father John S. Sellitto, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old. John was born on March 2, 1940, in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Michael and Elvera Sellitto.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sellitto (formerly Sandra Alexander). John and Sandy first met and bonded twenty-nine years ago over their mutual appreciation for family and faith and continued to share this throughout their long and happy marriage.

John and Marion (deceased) raised his children with love and generosity: Michael, Chris, Mark and Paul. He was a stepfather to six children: Mark Alexander, Ginger Alexander, Shannon Mazza, Stephanie Alexander, Kevin Alexander and Nicole Katzman. He has 29 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He leaves a sister, Frances Buonofede and his best friend, Mike Katzman. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Sellitto.

The family settled in Simsbury, Connecticut. He was a humble, spiritual man who was relentless in his service to his family and community.

The unconditional love of John’s family and the admiration of his friends speaks to the overwhelming goodness and kindness that truly defined him.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 15th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road in West Simsbury. Burial will follow in Mt.
