Barbara Ann Burgess, 86, of Simsbury, CT died Friday, January 12, 2024 at McLean in Simsbury, CT. She was born December 5, 1937 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Francis and Marion (Zynkievich) Burgess and had lived in Providence, RI prior to moving to Simsbury, CT almost 10 years ago. Barbara was a Sales Associate at Benny’s in Providence, RI for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was a long time member of St. Patrick’s Word of God Church in Providence, RI and then of Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield, CT. Barbara enjoyed painting, crafts, baking and spending time with her family and friends. She had an amazing memory for jokes and loved to make people laugh.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Dibble) Keane and husband Matthew of Chepachet, RI and Barbara (Dibble) Kei and husband Dr. Stephen Kei of Bloomfield, CT and her grandchildren, Matthew Rounds and Erica Dibble. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Dibble, Jr.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20 th at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 265 Stratton Brook Road in West Simsbury, CT. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Mary’s House, 52 Calais Street, Providence, RI 02908.
