Obituary for Sally Meinweiser

Meinweiser, Sally (Rollins) of Avon, CT, loving wife of the late Hugh Meinweiser, died February 10, 2024. Sally was predeceased by her son Blake F. Meinweiser and her brothers Markham F. Rollins, Jr. & Richardson Rollins.

Born on September 4, 1929, in Bronxville, NY, daughter of Markham F. Rollins & Elizabeth Richardson. Sally graduated from Tuckahoe High School and Cazenovia College. Sally was chosen by the college to be the May Queen in 1949 and honored to represent Cazenovia College at the inauguration of a new President of Colgate University.

She was a volunteer overtime for RedCross, Meals on Wheels, Kidney Foundation and UCONN. An artist and antique restorer and an avid tennis player until her 89th year.
Sally leaves her dearest children, M. Karl Meinweiser and Holly M. Gerner (Mike), four grandchildren, Danile L. Solari (Kristin), Jean E. Nadeau (Jamy) and her great granddaughter Lia I. Nadeau, Nikolaus B. Solari and Andrew R. Solari.

The family would like to thank Brighton Hospice for the compassionate care they gave to Sally.

It is her wishes there will be no Services. In lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation.
