Viola C. Kruse
Viola (Chiapputo) Kruse, 91, of Avon, wife of the late Albert O. Kruse, died Friday, January 29, 2016 at John Dempsey Hospital. She was born May 16, 1924 in Hartford, daughter of the late Carmine Antonio and Incoronata (Riccio) Chiapputo and had lived in Avon for 68 years. Mrs. Kruse had more than a 40 year career Veeder Root. She was a member of the Church of Saint Ann in Avon and enjoyed traveling, with journeys to Bermuda, Hawaii and Europe, along with bus trips to NYC for Broadway shows. Viola was wonderfully generous with her love and affection to all who knew her. She was quick to smile and laugh. Viola made the best sauce in the family, which was enjoyed during many a holiday enjoyed at her kitchen table. She is survived by many family members and friends, including Kathy and Ronald Barone of Burlington, Chris and Terry Roy of Avon, Tim and Bernadette Brady of Easton, Scott Briere of Avon, and Doug Earhart and Elliott Morgan of Aurora, CO, along with many grandnieces and grandnephews. Viola’s family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers at ComForcare, especially Julie, Carol, Eileen, and Pam, who allowed her to continue to live in the home she loved until her passing. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton on Thursday February 4th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Road in Avon. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Avon.
