Gregory Michael Koltuniak, 64, of New Hartford, passed away Saturday November 19, 2016 surrounded by loved ones after a long heroic battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Coffey Koltuniak and his parents Harry and Virginia Koltuniak. Greg is survived by his daughter Molly Koltuniak and Dan Cyr of New Hartford and his son Michael Koltuniak and Juleah Sverni of New Hartford. Greg is also survived by his supportive and loving mother in-law, Kathleen Coffey of Simsbury and the entirety of the Coffey family, as well as his nephew Jason Hesse of Torrington. Greg was born February 17th, 1952 and grew up in Simsbury. He worked in construction and was a truck driver for Peirce builders in Granby until 2014 when he was happily able to retire. Greg was a generous and caring man with a sarcastic sense of humor that many people couldn’t help but love.
Funeral service will be held at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury at 12 noon on Wednesday, November 23rd. Friends are invited to call prior to the service, starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Simsbury Cemetery. In lieu of donations, the family asks that flowers be sent to the funeral home.
