Elizabeth "Betty" Marie Andrea Caputo, 86, of Simsbury, CT, wife of the late Edward Caputo, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born November 23, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late George and Ethel (Tice) Andrea and had lived in North Merrick, NY prior to moving to Simsbury, CT to be closer to her son and family.

She enjoyed making jewelry, drawing, shopping, playing poker, collecting antiques, traveling the world, and especially cherished spending time with family.

She is survived by her son, Edward Gene Caputo of Simsbury, CT and her daughter, Andrea Caputo Foelsch of Chino Hills, CA. Her grandchildren are Eric John Foelsch of Hesperia, CA, Adam Edward Foelsch of West Covina, CA, Edward Curtis Caputo of Canton, CT, and Katelyn Elizabeth Caputo of Weatogue, CT. She is also survived by her three great-grandchildren of Hesperia, CA, Justin, Eric John, Jr., and Eden Foelsch and four great-granddaughters, Julia, Sarah, Leah, and Emma Caputo of Canton, CT.

Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury on Thursday, October 20th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be Friday, October 21st, 10:00 AM at the First Church of Christ, 689 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury. Burial will be at 2:30 PM at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury, NY.
