Beatrice (McGowan) Ferreira, 87, of East Granby, wife of the late Jose “Joseph” Ferreira, Jr., died Monday, November 16, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born October 3, 1928 in Fall River, MA, daughter of the late Patrick and Ida (DeMaris) McGowan and had lived in East Granby for over 50 years. Mrs. Ferreira owned and operated her own cleaning service for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Tariffville and had enjoyed bowling. She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Ferreira of Louisville, KY and Joan Healy of Plattsburgh, NY; her son, Paul Ferreira of East Granby; her grandchildren, Robert, Michele, Kyle, Caroline, Brian, Alex, Karen and Kathy; 13 great grandchildren and her dear friend, Mary Anderson. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street in Simsbury on Monday, November 23rd form 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM at St Bernard’s Church in Tariffville.
