Jessie Maclay Gaglioti, 44, of Simsbury, passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2019 after a long fierce battle with cancer and peacefully entered eternal rest with loving family and friends by her bedside. Jessie was born on October 10, 1974 in Norfolk, VA, daughter of Linda (Hillman) Maclay and the late Gordon Mackenzie Maclay of Coventry, CT. Jessie was raised and attended school in Coventry and after attending Manchester Community College and earning her Associates Degree, she settled in West Hartford, CT and the last ten years has resided in Simsbury, CT. Jessie was a Strategic Sourcing Manager for CIGNA for many years and had previously worked for The Hartford, Accenture and LexisNexis. She enjoyed spending time outdoors - going on adventures with her son hiking, kayaking, canoeing and bike riding. Jessie adored horses and horseback riding, had many interests such as gourmet cooking, gardening, nature appreciation, and loving all those around her. Her true passion in life was being her beloved son’s number one soccer fan, managing his sports teams, attending any and all of his activities and completely dedicating herself to him in every way. Nothing filled her with more love than being with her beautiful boy.
In addition to her beloved son, Nathaniel Robert Gaglioti, she is survived by her mother, Linda Maclay and brother Gordon M. Maclay II and her beloved dogs, Gus & Piper. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved and cherished.
