Today I could not get Uncle Leon off my mind so tonight I read his obituary as I had not seen it before. Uncle Leon and Aunt Lydi have been a major part of my life. We had so so many great visits no matter where they lived or where I lived. I miss him. I miss his wit. I miss his laugh. I miss him picking on me. When I called them and he answered he always said to Aunt Lydi, “It is your other daughter.” He always made me feel special. I would call him when I needed advice or I needed help sorting out a situation. He was always there for me. He leaves such a legacy. He will always be in my thoughts. I loved him.

Leon’s kindness and hard work was such a gift for years to the Humphrey family reunions ‘in the grove.’ He modeled those family support gestures for those who followed him ... who continue modeling for the next generations.
We’ve all benefited from our time with him.

Carol has said it well! I am so sorry I missed the services... I arrived at Vincent’s at one and found no one here and then rechecked and found they were at 11am. Lydia, Lisa and Taz, please know I am thinking of you all. Marianne Humphrey Burbank
