Click here to view all obituariesIn January of 1985 after dropping off the oldest daughter at college in New Jersey, I had a very serious automobile accident on black ice. Initially I was taken to Waterbury Hospital, after awhile transferred to Hartford Hospital for reconstructive surgery, and eventually discharged to home. The first visitor at our door was Roger with a card and a brown teddy bear with a stuffed red heart in its pocket. On the red heart was written Troop 94. Now 32 years later that teddy bear still sits on my dresser - that's how much it meant to me. As Les said; "Roger was always a scout and an amazing person". I can certainly attest to that.
