Thinking of all the Thompson family with fond memories of Mel. As his newspaper carrier, I had many a good conversation with Mel.
One of the T-Ville men who made a lasting impression on me. Best to all and take good care.

I offer my sincere condolences to the family of Uncle Mel. Two days prior to my knowledge of Mel's passing, I was reviewing family photographs and came upon Mel & Lorraine. I smiled and thought of them most fondly. He, and they as a couple, consistently treated me in a most welcoming manner. That is what I will indelibly recall of this couple-- of Uncle Mel. Rejoice, Uncle Mel, you have now ascended to be at the side of God and your Angel Lorraine. Thank you, Uncle Mel.

Please accept my condolences for the passing of Melvin. There is hope though, as the Almighty has arranged for the resurrection in the future. He promises, "... There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15)

I hope you find these few words comforting and provide motivation to prepare for the new world of God's making. (John 17:3)
